Wales 68p Class Colour Trial - New Blue

Sold with issued colour for comparison.

These colour trials are thought to be printed De La Rue at their Byfleet works before moving to Dunstable.

As there is no official sanction record from Royal Mail it is thought they were in all probability to see if the cylinders were giving a clean and accurate image using any old ink that came to hand.

There is no official colour description so the colours listed are our own interpretation

Stamps are in perfect unmounted mint condition.
